Morgan Freeman and The Man Who Wasn't There.

Driving into work on Tuesday morning allowed me a listen to a 95.5 interview with Morgan Freeman doing promos for the new rugby film. Mr. Freeman seems a genuine sort, with a kindness reflected in his tone. I don't recall many films with Freeman as the enemy ... Chain Reaction, I guess, but that was more of a Keanu vehicle... and I would've sided with Freeman anyway. He has that charm about him.

After a bit about acting, the universe and everything, they took some calls. To my delight a woman called in saying The Long Kiss Goodnight was her ten year old son's favorite movie and proceeded to ask Mr. Freeman if he had fun on that film. Mr. Freeman responded 'no, but Samuel L. Jackson probably did.'

Not only was the concept of mistaken identity amusing and Mr. Freeman's response acute while retaining a polite charm, it reminded me to buy A Long Kiss Goodnight. If I remember correctly I saw this movie in the theater and recently had a Gena Davis Fan Club discussion with a former colleague. If you haven't seen it you should, if you are wondering like I am where Gena Davis went ... stay tuned for updates.

From the desk littered with private eye Gena Davis files and PIR pricing scenarios ... This has been.
